Pardon My Garden Quilt – Free Pattern!

The Pardon My Garden quilt is a classic design made up of diamonds and looks wonderful in any setting.
The diamonds are framed by narrow strips of off white, witch makes them “float” within the setting.

We used all of the 12 Pardon My Garden Fabrics and off-white quilt fabric for the quilt top. You will find a detailed list of materials in the explanation.

The explanation for this quilt (and many Tilda quilts to come) is written by our new friend and collaborator Linda Clements. Many of you know her as the woman behind “The Quilter’s Bible”.
Her talent for explanations and step-by-step illustrations is just amazing!

Here is the Pardon My Garden Quilt and Pardon My Garden – Diamond Template.

Paper Piece Patchwork Balls

A few costumers have asked us about the Patchwork Balls in the pictures. These are actually our new Paper Piece products this spring. The packages contain paper piece shapes that you cover with fabric using the Tilda Paper Piece glue pen. You can then easily sew perfect patchwork balls by hand.

There are two different packages, one with balls made of pentagon shapes, and one with balls made of biconvex shapes.
Each package come with explanations and paper pieces for 16- 20 balls in two sizes.
All you need in addition to the paper pieces and glue are some leftover fabrics, good hand sewing thread, a needle and some stuffing.

Patchwork balls look lovely just lying in a bowl or on a platter, squeeze one into a porcelain cup and you have a nice needle cushion.
They also make cute toys, you can easily put a round bell in with the stuffing to make them jingle.

Torie Jane

One very creative woman that we have followed for years is Torie Jane. Her blog is always full of fresh ideas for home, baking, paper craft and sewing all in soothing and fresh pastels, with a hint of retro.
We are terribly exited when she uses or writes about our collections.
It’s always existing to see whats new and her blog is a great place to go for Easter inspiration.
Look at these adorable Chocolate Nests!!!

Spring is in the air

And the new Tilda spring collections are, or soon will be available in many quilt and craft shops around the world. A fresh new season with new colors, patterns and possibilities.
Let us present “Spring Diaries” and “Pardon My Garden”, we really hope you like it.

Spring Diaries is an adorable retro series inspired by the radio, weekly magazines and teenage dreams of the 1950’s. Shades of honey, pink and turquoise combine for a sweet and subtle vintage palette that unifies the collection.
The Tilda Spring Diaries collection has 12 fabrics, papers, ribbons, buttons, notebooks, papers and more in sweet (but not too sweet) retro colors.
