This is the Tilda studio blog where we post a little inspiration and wish you a creative day. The studio is where Tilda products are designed and books are made, from beginning to end. This is where we build scenes for book photography and create the Tilda atmosphere.
The blog is run by the Tilda team
Blog photography is by Inger Marie Grini, Line Dammen, Petter Bye, Sølvi Dos Santos, Ingrid Skaansar and Tone Finnanger.

We are totally in love with the new Rabbit and Squirrel Patchwork kits. You might have noticed the rabbit is on the cover of the Tilda catalogue. They are perfect projects for anyone who loves to sew and the right size project for new beginners who wants to learn patchwork.
The animals can work as decorative pillows and are perfect for children’s rooms. We added a gift tag and some string to the kit as a cute detail.
We are very exited to share that two of the beloved Tilda characters – a fox and a rabbit will be available as lovely pre-sewn dolls this august!
Many of you are experts on sewing Tilda dolls and animals and Tilda will as always be about making your own personal dolls, but pre-sewn bodies are perfect for those who find doll sewing a bit daunting, or for young people learning to create and sew.
It’s so much fun making clothes and accessories!
Some of you might know that Tilda started as an idea of a children’s concept that emerged into a craft brand many years ago, and it’s a dream come true for us to be able to provide pre sewn Tilda dolls approved for children in all ages worldwide. Crafty friends that can inspire creativity.
It has been a long process getting the look right and the quality perfect, and we are very happy with the result.
Among the autumn news you will find sweet patterns for clothes, and we will share ideas and patterns on the blog on how you can personalize and make accessories.
We had so much fun creating a colorful world around these characters, and hope to continue with more pre sewn Tilda characters in the years to come to inspire creativity and playfulness.
The Norwegian version of the new book finally arrived! It’s always exiting to see the fruit of so much work and fun, and we just love it!
It has turned out really sweet, full of ideas for kids and kids rooms of course, and a must have for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and anyone that enjoys to create for kids.
The English version will be out soon. Make sure you get one from the first edition and pre-order here.
You might have spotted this little doll already, The Sweetheart Doll is proving to be very popular. She appears on the cover of the upcoming book and is already available as a kit.
We say “she” but this could just as well be a boy doll. The little hair buns are of course optional.
A large head on a smaller body with tiny arms and legs, who can resist that…
The doll kits are flying off the shelves and we are delighted that she is so well liked. The kit contains everything you need to make a doll except filling and rouge for rosy cheeks.
